Inked line version of an illustration for Ray Bradbury's short story The Heart Transplant. It's rather sad actually.
Tomorrow my teacher is giving us a digital coloring demonstration, which is what this is for.
It came out okay, I think. I was really tempted to start crosshatching but I think it has to be purely line...which I didn't QUITE adhere to but...hey, you know.

I name posts so well.

Finished version? Didn't change much from the last post.
I couldn't think of anything else I wanted to do with it, other than fidgeting around with this and that, which could go on forever.
If I think of anything else to do with it, I'll go back and fix it. But for now, yeah, I think I can say it's pretty much there :)
Probably gonna sell this at manganext.

But I?

Oh here we are. So this is an animation that I just finished over the weekend. It was part of a 2 week character design, 2 week animation project. Basically. I was sick the week it was due, but apparently so was half the class, so she thankfully extended the deadline to what's now tomorrow.
Roughly 290 frames, give or take. By the way, because of a mistake, I had to REDO the entire walk cycle. X__X 77 frames out the window. Replaced by a 50-60 frame sequence, but at least it came out a lot better than the first one.

This is the progress I've made on Rune. Perhaps about 3/4's of the way done? I can't decide if I want to include clouds or not in the background, but maybe I'll give it a try.

Late birthday card for my stepfather whose birthday was the 17th, and I feel bad, hahah. It's not that I forgot, it's just been kinda a crazy week X__X

I painted this on a watercolor card. Thanks Strathmore, that was useful~ Didn't spend too long on it, maybe 1-2 hours, but I hope he likes it anyway. He really likes eagles, you see :]

Procrastinating illustration with more illustration.

It's not that I'm *procrastinating*, it's just that I'm at a loss -.-;

I've been doing a little bit more of some personal work since fall break began. Honestly, I shouldn't be putting off homework since I was sick all week, and need to really get on it....but I think I WILL take advantage of having some time off...

Anyhow, this is a work in progress of Rune. I know how wonky the foreshortening/proportions are, but face it, wonky foreshortening/proportions are fun :3 The perspective is off too but we're not gonna talk about that.

I've been drawing her in normal, modern clothes. Honestly, I don't really know much about fashion, but I think this is close enough. Lately I've been drawing her more and hatching out another character. He's getting there! Maybe I'll post some sketches soon.

New shiny toys.

I've been doing a lot of cartoony-styled things lately, mainly for animation. While that's delightful and whatnot, I want to also work with a more 'serious' aesthetic.

Since I got some shiny new watercolors (Sakura's "Koi" set) and some accompanying watercolor paper, I used this sketch to play around, and had a lot of fun. On the sides is the palette I messed around with.

The character's name is Rune.
